Hi there, I'm Allison.

A UX designer shaping experiences across B2B SaaS enterprise products, feature design, and consumer-facing demos.

My Background

From a young age, music, especially chamber ensembles, taught me the essence of collaboration and evoking emotion in an audience. The pandemic prompted me to bridge this passion to the digital world through UX. I quickly realized how interconnected the skills like teamwork, empathy, and creating impactful human experiences transferred from the concert hall to interface design.

My Experiences

University of Michigan | Graduate Research Assistant, Present (Ann Arbor, MI)

• Facilitate workshops for collaborative tracking and data sharing for child-parent dyads, gathering information on typical patterns for logging health-related data • Convert audio transcripts to coding insights based on participant feedback and generate insights to include features such as incorporating a virtual character, logging data in the app to make it more engaging for users

IBM | UX Design Intern, August 2025 (Austin, TX)

• Designed a user management flow for the Maximo Application Suite (MAS) that eliminated redundant tasks and streamlined administrative workflows, resolving 90% of critical user management backlog items from the previous release. • Led weekly cross-functional meetings to prioritize, migrate, and modernize 50+ user management features from Maximo Manage to MAS, ensuring alignment with IBM’s design framework and stakeholder expectations. • Piloted a card sorting study with 5+ customers to validate and refine the User tab’s information architecture, aligning the design with user mental models and simplifying admin workflows in the next release.

IBM | UX Design Intern, August 2024 (Austin, TX)

• Defined project scope and identified key selling points by interviewing TRIRIGA lease management subject matter experts (SMEs) and external customers, increasing customer attraction by 15% and acquiring 200 new users. • Collaborated with the product manager to develop an engaging click-through demo, designed to attract customers and increase 20% in sales. • Partnered with designers to create a demo of an AI feature, Maximo Visual Inspection, increasing customer interest by 90% at the MaximoWorld conference.

Cisco | UX Research Intern, September 2023 (San Jose, CA)

• Performed a heuristic evaluation on Customer Experience (CX) Cloud, identifying over 50 usability issues. • Documented usability issues along with related targeted improvements into the Jira backlog, sharing key findings with product owners to inform product roadmap and guide future UX enhancements. • Piloted a preference testing study to evaluate the clarity and consistency of support type and coverage in current designs, providing recommendations for additional participants and ongoing studies to reprioritize features in the summary view.

Cisco | UX Design Intern, September 2022 (San Jose, CA)

• Transformed the license global search experience on Cisco’s asset management application (CX Cloud) by leveraging existing Cisco UI Design systems to create wireframes and prototypes that display query-related information to customers. • Identified existing customer pain points and unaddressed user needs, informing the next stage of the license global search experience by working alongside engineers, researchers, and other SMEs.
