What I did:
Partnered with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO) to utilize a range of specially adapted musical techniques to address the complex needs of stroke survivors including physical rehabilitation work and social integration.
Successfully launched STROKESTRA at the UCI Health Center, a pioneering stroke rehabilitation program that harnesses the power of group creative music-making alongside professional musicians and clinicians to drive patient-led recovery in stroke patients and their carers.
100% of the stroke patients reported an improvement in wellbeing including emotion, physical, social, and cognitively after the clinical session.
